The National Women's Trade Union League

The NWTUL was one of the first to protest the fire on April 2, 1911. They protested working conditions as well. The Metropolitan Opera House was the location where thousands attended to demand reform. The NWTUL organized this meeting. This meeting encouraged the state legislature to form a Bureau of Fire Prevention.
